What a great card last night in Niagara Falls! My opponent changed at intermission and a great guy stepped into the ring with me for our second chance to fight one another - the first time being at last year's nationals. He proved to be a great opponent and we were able to take home Best Bout of the Night. I won the fight by unanimous decision and also won best Boxer of the Night, too - giving me 6 wins in my current winning streak. Olympian Mike Strange presented the awards.

On Sunday, August 12, 2018 I fought Cody Zappone of New York State. The fights were held at Lanzi's by the Lake - my second outdoor venue of the summer. I won the decision after our three rounds.

My winning streak started again Saturday night with a unanimous decision win over Quebec's Zachary Fluerant.

At the Ken Goff Memorial Tournament, on Friday, May 4th I lost a unanimous decision to the USA 64kg Champ. On Sunday, May 6th, the Brandt Cup, he and I squared off a second time. It was much closer fight though I lost by split decision.
The Kenn Goff Memorial Tournament was like none I have ever been a part of before - blacktie with no stops on the hype up at the event!
March 28 - April 1, 2018
With 8 boxers in my weight division from across Canada all fighting - literally - for the number one place I knew I had to box my best. After winning my quarterfinal match on Thursday, I had a break until semi finals on Saturday night. As I entered the room, I was notified that my opponent would not be boxing that evening giving me a walkover win to the finals on Sunday.
On Sunday, I entered the ring with Quebec. My opponent was a good match and I was boxing well. I won the title with a 4-1 decision after the three rounds, bringing home my fourth Canadian title. This makes me the first male boxer in NS to have Canadian titles in each of the junior, youth, and elite divisions.

Last week Team Poland arrived in Montreal for our first tournament of 2018 - a dual match competition. My opponent was tough both bouts but I managed to beat him for two wins. Pierre Lavoie got some great shots and videoclips of all of the bouts. Pierre did a fabulous job with his footage - thanks to Pierre and Way Productions. Click on the photo to see a brief montage, created by Pierre, of my second bout, on Sunday, January 28th, vs Karol Kowal. This win gave me my 14th straight win. #goingforgold #keepthestreakalive
